Dierks+Company, a strategy and legal consulting firm, is further expanding its expertise in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical law, strengthening its practice with Anja Tiedemann (44). The longtime legal advisor of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) will join Dierks+Company as a partner starting April 1, 2024.
Anja Tiedemann has extensive experience in medical law. For more than 12 years, she has played a significant role in various capacities in both the development of legal requirements in the healthcare sector and their practical application. As the legal counsel of the G-BA, her focus areas included cross-sectoral and new forms of care, planning requirements, as well as the design of new digitalization processes and the introduction of e-health products.
Furthermore, she has held a managerial position at the German Society for Health Insurance Law. During a secondment to the Federal Social Court in Kassel, she was involved in significant decisions regarding contract physician law. Additionally, she was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Health, where she worked on reform processes in healthcare provision and health insurance.

Dierks+Company aims to navigate innovative products in healthcare and life sciences to the market, strengthen Germany as a research location, and accelerate the transformation of the healthcare system. The focus is on health technology assessment (HTA) of pharmaceuticals (AMNOG procedures) and medical devices, questions of reimbursement eligibility for innovative products and services, designing new business models and platforms, and digitization in healthcare.
For Dierks+Company, Anja Tiedemann is the fourth significant addition this year. Just before the end of the year, Dr. Dominik Roters, former head of the legal department and deputy manager of the G-BA, joined Dierks+Company as Equity and Managing Partner. Additionally, at the beginning of the year, Marcus Guardian, an expert in health technology assessment (HTA), joined Dierks+Company as a partner and heads the new office in Brussels. Moreover, Privatdozent Dr. med. Stefan Lange, the former deputy head of the Institute for Quality and Economic Efficiency in Healthcare (IQWiG) with proven expertise in the scientific evaluation of medical interventions, joins Dierks+Company as Chief Scientific and Medical Officer. The expert in evidence-based medicine advises on the optimization and evaluation of studies for the benefit assessment of drugs and methods.
