About Olena

Olena Prodchenko was born in Ukraine and raised in Greece, where she developed a strong intercultural awareness early on. She successfully completed her First State Examination in Law (Erstes Staatsexamen) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Following this, she gained initial legal experience in an international law office in Frankfurt with a focus on aviation law before transitioning into the life sciences sector, where she found her passion for innovation, life sciences, and healthcare law.

Olena worked as a Contracts Analyst at Illumina, a global leader in genomic sequencing. In this role, she supported international contract negotiations and risk assessments across EMEA, contributed to the development of GDPR-compliant data protection strategies, and advised on regulatory matters involving medical devices, digital health, and procurement law. She collaborated daily with professionals across legal, engineering, biology, and regulatory affairs, working in English and German.

Alongside her professional work, Olena pursued the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route in England & Wales, further strengthening her international qualifications. She is currently completing her German legal training (Referendariat), during which she joined Dierks+Company for her law-firm rotation (Anwaltsstation). Before joining the firm, she completed her administrative rotation at the Federal Joint Committee (Gemeinsamer Bundesausschuss), where she contributed to health law policymaking at the intersection of law, innovation, and public health.
